Ceramic Inserts
Huamin Tools supplies ceramic inserts for high-speed turning of cast iron, hardened steel and heat-resistant alloy materials. Ceramic cutting inserts are suitable for stable finishing and semi-finishing applications where cutting speed, heat resistance and wear resistance are important.
Ceramic inserts are commonly used for gray cast iron, ductile cast iron and other cast iron components. They can run at high cutting speeds and help improve productivity in automotive, bearing, pump, valve and general machinery applications.
With suitable grades and edge preparation, ceramic inserts can machine hardened steel and heat-resistant alloy materials in finishing or semi-finishing conditions. The right insert geometry should be selected according to workpiece hardness, cutting stability and surface finish requirements.
Huamin Tools provides ceramic inserts in CNGA, TNGA, RNGN, SNGN, WNGA and other common turning insert shapes. Standard and customized ceramic insert options are available for different holders and machining requirements.
Ceramic inserts are widely applied in the high-speed machining of grey iron, ductile iron, hardened steel, high-temperature alloys and superalloys. They are commonly used for turning, milling and boring in mass production scenarios. Mainly serving automotive components, engine parts, mold manufacturing, engineering machinery and general industrial machining fields, they are the optimal choice for semi-finishing and finishing of hard and tough workpieces, as well as dry cutting processes.

It depends on the material and machining condition. CBN inserts are often preferred for hardened steel and difficult ferrous materials, while ceramic inserts are widely used for high-speed cast iron machining.
Some ceramic grades can handle light interrupted cutting, but stable continuous cutting is usually preferred. For heavy interrupted hard turning, CBN inserts may be a better option.
